Paul Jansen van Rensburg
Chief Executive Officer
Paul Jansen van Rensburg is the Chief Executive Officer at Swiftnet, bringing over 20 years of experience across the telecommunications and tower infrastructure sectors. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles at MTN in both South Africa and Iran, was part of the founding team of Atlas Tower South Africa, and later served as Country Manager at SBA South Africa.
As CEO, Paul is focused on creating long-term value for shareholders by building a world-class TowerCo aligned to international best practices. He believes Swiftnet’s unique portfolio of infrastructure assets, locations, and services creates strong opportunities for sustainable growth and innovation within South Africa’s telecommunications landscape.
Passionate about the future of connectivity, Paul is energized by the rapid evolution of technology and the opportunities it creates for businesses and communities alike. Outside of work, he values family life and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He believes growth and comfort seldom coexist, and that meaningful progress comes from stepping beyond your comfort zone.

Eddy Kgomongwe
Chief Commercial Officer
Eddy Kgomongwe is the Chief Commercial Officer at Swiftnet Towers, bringing over 20 years of extensive experience across the ICT and telecommunications sectors. Having been with the company for 10 years, he leads the development of both the commercial and technical strategy for Swiftnet’s nationwide portfolio of over 4,000 telecom tower sites. Eddy is responsible for driving revenue growth, spearheading sales and marketing initiatives, and overseeing new product launches while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Known for his operational leadership, he works closely with the CEO and CFO to manage financial performance and champion the customer experience. A firm believer that telecommunications forms the foundation for global collaboration, Eddy leads with purpose, curiosity, and a focus on growing people. Outside of work, he is driven by continuous learning and recharges by spending time on the golf course and in the gym.

Gert Vorster
Chief Financial Officer
Gert Vorster is the Chief Financial Officer at Swiftnet, having initially joined the company’s shareholder acquisition team in August 2024. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Gert brings a wealth of executive leadership experience spanning asset management, risk advisory, and corporate finance. His career includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer of RMB Asset Management’s unit trust division, the Chief Operating Officer of RMB Asset Management, the Chief Financial Officer of Momentum Investments following its merger with Metropolitan, and the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Paycorp Group.
Today, as Swiftnet’s CFO, he is focused on leveraging the company’s unique portfolio to deliver unparalleled service and growth opportunities to customers during a period of industry consolidation. Passionate about building a world-class Towerco, Gert is dedicated to establishing a strong company culture, optimizing processes, and making Swiftnet the partner of choice in the sector. Outside the boardroom, he enjoys family life, mountain biking, and is an aspirational golfer.

Mpho Masunga
Chief Operations Officer
Mpho Masunga is the Chief Operations Officer at Swiftnet, having joined the executive team eight months ago. He brings a wealth of telecoms experience, having previously served as the Executive Head of Network Operations and Performance at Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia (seconded under Vodacom Group). His extensive background also includes specialist and management roles at Vodacom South Africa and MTN South Africa, focusing on site acquisition, network deployment, co-location, and maintenance. At Swiftnet, Mpho leads the Operations division, overseeing Regional Operations, Power Engineering, the Network Operations Centre (NOC), the Project Management Office (PMO), Structural Engineering, and the overall Tower Operations and Maintenance portfolio.
Passionate about bridging the digital divide, he is driven by the critical role infrastructure plays in empowering communities. A proven leader who previously won a Safaricom Group CEO award for delivering a 30% reduction in OPEX, Mpho is dedicated to making Swiftnet a world-class TowerCo through operational excellence. Outside of work, he is an avid runner, a music lover, and an avid reader of motivational and leadership books who cherishes quality time with his family.

PJ Kotze
Executive Legal & Compliance
PJ Kotze is the Executive of Legal and Compliance at Swiftnet, bringing 12 years of post-article experience as an admitted attorney specializing in commercial, property, and contract law. Currently in his second leadership role within an independent South African tower company, PJ is responsible for building Swiftnet’s new legal department from the ground up following the Telkom exit.
He expertly manages all legal risks, litigation, and company secretarial functions while implementing robust new policies and business processes. Thriving in the fast-paced, ever-changing telecommunications environment, PJ is driven by a philosophy of continuous learning and adaptation. He firmly believes that working hard consistently and maintaining discipline are the foundations for achieving success and transforming dreams into reality.

worked for Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd and Denel Dynamics.
He is adept at developing and implementing innovative technology
strategies that align with business goals and drive growth, efficiency,
and customer satisfaction. Lloyd has strong leadership skills with a
proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver
complex projects on time and within budget. Lloyd enjoys playing football, golf, chess, cycling, swimming, hiking and reading.
Koenehelo Thejane

Koenehelo is an astute project, property and construction executive
with 24 years of experience working in versatile challenging roles
providing multi-disciplinary construction projects. He began his
career in 1999 at Rainbow/WBHO as a Site Agent. His roles include
being a Construction Project Manager and Alternate Director at SIP
Project Managers, Partner and Director at SeCo Project Managers
and Executive: Commercial and Projects at Telkom ICRES. He is
currently an Executive: (PMO) Capital Projects at Gyro Group.
He offers a highly specialized suite of technical and management
skills with strong acumen in risk, contract, commercial, project, cost,
and quality management. Full life cycle project management skills
with demonstrated ability to prepare and manage project plans from
pre-feasibility, feasibility, execution, and monitoring up to handover
to the client. He is a certified Professional Construction Project
Manager by the SACPCMP and Uptime Institute certification.
Throughout his career, he has delivered over R8 Billion in projects
value that has included PPP hospitals and clinics, Central bank and
branches, malls, airports Refurbishment, Data centres-Maintenance,
Rollout of Mast and Towers and DAS, museums and art galleries,
filling stations, Golf estates, casinos and conference centres, and
various residential and commercial buildings. Clients include ABSA
Bank, Central Bank of Lesotho, Airports Company of South Africa,
ERIS Properties, Investec Bank, Growthpoint Properties, Netcare,
Tsogo Sun formally Akani and the American Government’s
Millennium Challenge Account.
